Example Timetable
Here is an example of what your timetable will look like. You will receive your own timetable on your first day. It will look similar to this one but will be personalised with your own teachers, rooms and subjects.
Homeroom
Homeroom is the first class of each day. Homeroom is important as it is a time for you to meet with your Homeroom Teacher. Homeroom is an opportunity for you to build positive relationships and develop teamwork skills as you get involved in a range of activities including circles, brain breaks and games that not only build connections but activate the brain to be ‘ready to learn’. Attendance is checked during Homeroom.
SmartRider and College ID card
The College will order a student SmartRider for all new students. You will receive your new card in the first few weeks of school – photos were taken at Orientation Day. The reverse of the SmartRider will be your College ID card.
This card can be used for:
- Transperth services
- The private 91¸£Àû´óÈ« school bus
- Printing in the Alexis Research Centre (ARC)
- Purchases at the 91¸£Àû´óÈ« Cafe
Students all have $2.00 of printing pre-loaded on their card. To add more funds, please deposit cash with the ICT Team in the ARC, who will load the funds onto your card.
Your parents can link your card to the Flexischools app so you can pay for items at the 91¸£Àû´óÈ« Cafe, and to the Horizons West e-Ticketing platform so you can pay the fare for the private 91¸£Àû´óÈ« school bus.
Replacement card
If you need a replacement card, please place an order at Student Services ($5.00).
91¸£Àû´óÈ« Cafe
Opening Hours
The 91¸£Àû´óÈ« Café opens every morning for breakfast before school and operates during breaks 1 and 2. Students may not visit the Café at any other times. There is no pre-ordering at the Cafe, students simply walk in, choose their items and pay as they exit.
Cashless Card Payment Option – Flexischools
Flexischools provides an optional cashless card payment system for use at the 91¸£Àû´óÈ« Café. The Café also accepts cash payments.
The Flexischools cashless card system links a student’s existing StudentID/SmartRider card to a pre-loaded account, giving students the ability to make purchases without cash. Daily spend limits may be set and an automatic top-up option is also available. Please note that the funds added to the SmartRider for TransPerth or Horizons West are separate to the funds added to the Flexischools system.
For more information, or to register, go to
During the registration process you may be asked to provide a StudentID. This is located on the SmartRider as the Student Number.
For assistance, please call 1300 361 769 or contact help@flexischools.com.au or as your first point of contact.
Any further issues, please contact helpdesk@servite.wa.edu.au
Lockers and mobile phones
Lockers
All students are allocated a locker to store bags and other school resources. All items should be clearly labelled with the student’s name and secured with the College issued padlock.
Students are responsible for keeping their lockers secure, organised and clean. Students must always have their lock on their locker and should never tell anyone their combination. Students must always lock away their valuables (phone, wallet, etc).
If students have any concerns with their locker or lock, or need to purchase a replacement lock, they can visit Student Services to speak with their Head of Community.
Mobile Phones
The College recognises that on occasion, it may be necessary for students to bring mobile phones to school for safety or communication reasons. The College encourages responsible and courteous use of mobile phones:
- All phones are to be secured (locked away) in student lockers during the day.
- Students are not permitted to use mobile phones during school time, unless permission is given by a teacher.
- Parents are requested to only contact students via mobile telephone at the conclusion of the school day. At any other time in case of emergency, parents should call Student Services on (08) 6556 7444
- If a student is feeling unwell, they should attend Student Services, who will contact their parents. Students should not contact parents directly.
Absentees
Absent from school
If your child will not be attending school, please notify the College before 8.45am each day by:
- SMS to 0477 700 714
- email to absent@servite.wa.edu.au
If you cannot SMS or email, please leave a message on the Absentee Line (08) 6556 7599.
Always be sure to provide:
- Student’s name
- homeroom
- year group
- reason for absence
- your name
If the student will be away for multiple days on a pre-approved absence from school, one notification with the dates of the absence will suffice.
Late arrival
If your child will be arriving late to school for any reason, please notify the College before 8.45am.
When your child arrives at school, they must sign in at Student Services before going to class. If you are dropping your child off late but have not already notified the College of the late arrival, please accompany the student to sign them in.
Early departure
If your child needs to be collected prior to 3.15pm, there are two options for notification:
- Option 1: Notify the College prior to collection
SMS or email before 8.45am to advise of the time and reason for early departure, and if the student will be picked up by anyone other than a parent/guardian. Once we have received this notice, the student can attend Student Services at the departure time to sign out and leave.
- Option 2: Sign the student out without notification
A parent or guardian attends Student Services to meet the student and sign them out.
Students will not be permitted to sign-out without a parent/guardian being present unless prior notification has been received.
Unwell students
If a student is feeling unwell they should proceed to Student Services to see the College Nurse. Students are not to contact parents directly.
Pastoral Care: Priory system and homerooms
The Priory System
At 91¸£Àû´óÈ«, all students and staff belong to one of six Priories (house/faction):
- Annunziata (yellow)
- Senario (black)
- San Clemente (green)
- Saint Mary (blue)
- Our Lady of Sorrows (purple)
- Saint Anthony (red)
Each Priory contains seven Homerooms.
Homeroom
Students remain in the same Homeroom, with the same Homeroom Teacher, throughout their time at the College. Each Homeroom made up of boys and girls from Year 7 to Year 12 so everyone has an opportunity to engage with different year levels. Homeroom runs for the first 10 minutes of each day, and a bit longer on Wednesdays.
Homeroom Teacher
The Homeroom Teacher has the most important role in our Priory system, responsible for providing an environment wherein each student is personally known and valued. The Homeroom Teacher is an advisor and first point of contact for students and families for most questions or concerns.
Head of Community
Each Priory is guided by a Head of Community (HOC), who is a leader in promoting the care and overall wellbeing of students. HOCs have a key role in fostering a sense of connection and belonging at the College, promoting a friendly, hospitable and respectful environment.
To support the wellbeing of students as they move through the year levels at the College, Heads of Community liaise with parents, Homeroom Teachers and Heads of Learning Areas in tracking student progress and resolving pastoral issues.
HOCs build Priory spirit and encourage staff and students to become involved in the life of the Priory, coordinate Priory activities, year level activities and whole school events, as well as the selection of Student Leaders who will work with them to ensure the smooth running of their Priory.
