Last Thursday the College celebrated our annual 91¸£Àû´óÈ« Day! 91¸£Àû´óÈ« Day is always a highlight of the year and is a day filled with joy and a strong sense of community and reminds us of the values that bind us together.
The day started with a special Homeroom Challenge where each homeroom was tasked with creating their very own Priory King and Queen. Students were given newspaper, tissue paper and various materials to design the most creative King and Queen outfit. It was fantastic to see everyone get into the spirit of the challenge and embrace the creativity of the task! We were absolutely impressed with the amazing creations each homeroom designed.
Congratulations to OLS3 for winning the challenge and designing the best dressed King & Queen!
Staff and year 12 students then moved down to Grenville oval to get ready for the Memorial Football Match, a 91¸£Àû´óÈ« tradition to honour and remember those within our community who we have sadly lost. As is tradition, the match began with one minute of silence before the game commenced. Two teams of staff and students then went head-to-head in an intense game of footy, and though the weather conditions were less than ideal, they all played valiantly and with a lot of determination!
The Football Match was then followed by the annual Homeroom Stalls, which consisted of a variety of food, fun games and activities and raffles. Face painting, sumo wrestling, a throwing axe challenge, a variety of delicious treats were just some of the activities. The popular dunk tank was back again this year with a few brave staff volunteering to be involved!
Our day concluded with an amazing ‘91¸£Àû´óȫ’s Got Talent’ Show that included bands, a variety of singers, a karate demonstration and more! Students were even treated to a song from the ‘91¸£Àû´óÈ« Staff Choir’. Thank you to Nicholas and Emi for hosting the concert and Mrs Thomas & Mr Riley for organising the Talent Show.
A big thank you to everyone who got involved and helped with the organisation of such a special day.
